At what point in the process of evolution, does adaptation kick in? I would imagine if it happened to a creature as they were living their life, it would be quite an intense feeling and may be met with tension or opposition in the beginning stages. Adaptation itself is a merging of polarities. It is a change that a being undergoes in order to solidify the disparity between what is, and what needs to be, in order for their life to continue on. Not just as an individual, but as a larger group or the entire species. We've been hanging in the balance for a *while* now, especially since the invention of the Internet - the speed of our technological evolution surpassed us a while back and has made things feel extra tense and unbalanced thus far; but all the same, this process of evolution regarding ourselves and our technology is *also* what allows for humanity's renewal.. When our foods and environment are filled with chemicals which we didn't consent to consuming, it's almost like chemical molestation on our bodies -- and many of us aren't even aware of it. Sexual harassment is something going into or invading our personal space that one didn't consent to. Chemicals in food and environment are basically doing this on another level, even if it isn't judged as sexual. These are still OUR bodies which we have to be inside and deal with all the consequences of the things which make their way inside. The body's systems (for example, adrenal gland) become worn out because we have to metabolize so much more and get it out of the body. I choose to either jump over the synapse / syntax to the next step in the process, OR I choose to break the feedback and change the process. Just now I could jump over the synapse because I knew that I could be trusted with being able to forgive. The nature of reality appears to be cyclic, yet each occurrence has its own variations, making it a unique enactment and play all its own. And intelligent systems of life seem to reliably produce and create new systems of their own. I theorize that this phenomenon not only applies to humanity and our technologies, but to whatever other beings may exist out there in our Universe (or perhaps even Multiverse). Think about the possibility that all of life tends to unfold in cyclic enactments. Each major group of 'intelligent' beings to populate a place (i.e. humans on earth), develops and evolves as time goes on. Eventually, each group creates the next set of intelligent beings; thus, the next cycle of life begins.
